1. Who we are and this page’s scope

Sahnain is an Arabic and English food, water, and nutrition logging app brand operated and published by Wael Reda. This website provides app information, download links, support, and privacy information. It is not a meal-entry interface or a user account.

The website disclosures below apply to this version of the Sahnain website. Moving the website hosting does not change app services or how the app processes your data. The previous Sites website may remain available at its separate address; this page does not retroactively change its records or disclosures.

Sahnain provides nutrition estimates for personal tracking and general wellness. It is not a medical device and does not provide diagnosis or treatment.

2. This website: limited first-party measurement with your permission

This website uses limited first-party measurement to count page views, approximate browser sessions, approved campaign/source labels, and clicks to the App Store or Google Play. Events do not contain food text, photos, audio, nutrition results, account identity, email, advertising IDs, precise location, or raw IP as an analytics field. A random identifier is kept only for the browser tab session and is hashed before database storage. Raw events are kept for up to 90 days and identifier-free daily aggregates for up to 13 months. Cloudflare separately processes ordinary network information needed to deliver and protect the service.

Measurement does not begin before your affirmative choice. The website stores one separate, limited preference on this browser to remember acceptance or decline, and you can change it with the control below. Declining creates no analytics session identifier and sends no measurement event.

The public website has no account form or meal upload. The measurement dashboard is separate and owner-protected, and the website does not receive app-improvement events. Visiting these pages does not send food content to OpenAI. When you open the App Store or Google Play, that store's practices and privacy policy apply.

3. Hosting and IP addresses

This website uses Cloudflare to deliver pages and files and protect the service. Infrastructure processes IP addresses and ordinary request and network information needed for delivery and security. That operational processing is separate from Sahnain's limited measurement described above.

The website code does not write custom logs of request bodies or visitor identifiers. The hosting provider may process operational or security data, and protection features may use cookies depending on the actual settings. We do not promise zero retention or a single retention period for all provider data.

Processing may occur in other countries depending on service-provider locations. Public deployment uses HTTPS to protect data in transit; no transmission or storage method is completely secure.

4. Local app data and backups

No account is required to use the app. Food and water logs, saved foods, Regular Intakes, nutrition plans, and language settings are stored locally on your device. This website does not provide account synchronization or store your meal history.

Food descriptions, quantities, and nutrition values support logging, estimates, and the in-app Dashboard. You can export a backup file and save or share it somewhere you choose. It may contain your nutrition information; keep it safe.

Local data remains until you delete it or clear app data. Uninstalling the app does not delete exported files or copies kept by a device-backup service.

5. Analysis and online food services

When you choose AI analysis, the app may send your selected food description, photo, audio, or summary to Sahnain’s backend hosted on Render and then to OpenAI for analysis or transcription. An OpenAI disclosure and consent request are shown before use unless your earlier consent remains active. You can withdraw it through the app’s AI Privacy control.

In app versions offering the plan-aware AI report, that report additionally asks permission to send the selected period's minimized food summaries, dated reference targets and dates. Plan names, free-form notes, account/device identifiers and photos are not included in that report payload. This content processing is separate from content-free app-improvement events. On-device logging, saved meals and reports do not by themselves imply transmission.

Some food searches may send search terms to Open Food Facts or USDA FoodData Central to obtain nutrition information. These services are separate from this website, not a visitor-measurement database.

Photos and audio are optional. Camera, photo, and microphone permissions support the input methods you choose; you can deny permission and use other available methods. Review results because estimates can be wrong.

Launching this website does not change the app’s operation or nutrition-analysis processing. Providers’ retention of content and operational data depends on the service, settings, and security or legal obligations. Completing a request does not mean every copy is immediately erased.

6. Measurement, advertising, and version boundaries

The limited website measurement described above is separate from the app. This website does not activate app-improvement measurement or receive app events, and enabling website measurement does not change how the app works or processes its data.

App-improvement measurement is optional and also separate from permission for AI analysis. It begins only after your affirmative choice in the app. Declining does not create a measurement identifier or send a measurement event. You can turn sharing off in the app's measurement settings.

Depending on the app version, if enabled, Sahnain sends limited usage events to its own Cloudflare-hosted measurement service: measurement starting, active days, food-logging attempts and their observed outcomes, opening review, retaining a draft, and shortcut-save attempts and outcomes. Events include their time and local day, a random installation identifier, random event/attempt identifiers, platform, app version/build, language, the logging route and a bounded failure category. Available routes distinguish text, photo, voice, saved meals/products, repeat entry and shortcut saving from an existing log. The installation identifier is keyed-hashed before database storage; it is not an advertising identifier or your account identity.

These app-measurement events contain no food descriptions, quantities, nutrition values, meal or shortcut names, photographs, audio, transcripts, account details, email addresses or free-form errors. They are not used to identify which advertisement led to a person's food logging. Network providers may separately process IP addresses and request information to deliver and protect the service; raw IP is not an analytics field in Sahnain's event payload.

The app keeps at most 200 queued events for up to 30 days. Server retention is designed for up to 90 days of raw events, 35 days for deletion tombstones, and 13 calendar months of identifier-free aggregates, with scheduled deletion. Provider-managed recovery copies may persist for up to 30 additional days. Service failures can delay processing; a configured retention job does not establish that deletion has completed.

Measurement identities are not people or all app installations. First observed successful use may follow earlier app use and consent; it is not install-to-first-log activation. Incomplete event sequences do not automatically mean logging failed.

Sahnain does not sell your data or use food content for advertising. This website version contains no advertising trackers or embedded ads. This description does not cover store services or the previous Sites website, and does not retroactively change its records or policy.

7. Support, choices, and deletion

You can browse this website without providing food information or creating an account. If you email support, we receive what you choose to include, such as your sender address, message, and attachments. We use it to respond and handle the request, and may retain what is needed for follow-up or legal obligations. Do not send passwords, access keys, or unnecessary health information.

You can delete food entries, saved items, and your nutrition plan in the app, or clear local app data through device settings. Delete exported backups separately when no longer needed. Withdrawing AI consent stops later requests that require it; it does not recall requests already processed.

Turning app-measurement sharing off immediately clears the pending event queue and active measurement identifier locally. The app retains a deletion token solely to request deletion of the corresponding raw server events when connectivity is available. Deletion remains pending until acknowledged. Turn sharing off and allow the connected request to complete before clearing app data or uninstalling. Already identifier-free totals cannot be attributed back to a particular installation. Turning off AI analysis or website measurement is separate and does not replace this app-measurement control.

For privacy questions or deletion requests, contact support@sahnain.com. We may ask for clarification needed to identify your request; do not send unnecessary sensitive information. Website measurement contains no account identity or email that links events to a person, and the control on this page stops later measurement and clears this browser tab's session identifier.

8. Children, updates, and contact

Sahnain is intended for adults and general wellness, not directed to children. Contact support if you have a concern about a child’s data.

We review this policy when the practices described here change and update the effective date when a revision is published. Publishing this policy does not activate a feature or data collection that is not already enabled.
